Absolutely delicious. The wild board, fried potatoes, cacio e pepe, and creme brulee were all amazing. The cacio e pepe was the best we had ever tried.
The perfect meal. This is a Restraunt that has continued the traditional menu without cutting corners. Currently our favorite place to eat in Pienza. Generous portions, delicious ingredients, high quality filets cooked to perfection and amazing selection of local produce at reasonable prices. Your whole family will leave with a happy full tummy and you won’t feel out of pocket.
My family have been disappointed with in town regulars as the quality and proportions have become mean with prices going up and quality going down.
Wow! Might be our favorite stop in all of Italy. The server was friendly and nice and helped us to pronounce our Italian words a bit better. The outdoor terrace is beautiful and the food is so good. The melted cheese with walnuts and honey was tasty and different. The pork shank was the top star. Such amazing flavor and so tender. Everyone was envious of my meal. I'm still dreaming of it almost a week later. Fine job! I will definitely make this a stop on future Italian trips.
Good restaurant, great food, attentive service. Only mínus is they weren't ready to prepare the fillet because od some reason. Can only recommend.
It's a very local place. It stays outside the city walls, so you can dine in a non-touristy environment. But as a customer, you expect some smiling faces. The servers do not smile, even when you pay, you wait for the owner's wife to finish eating peaches and call her husband to take payment. The food is good but I've eaten at better places. (If you understand how they are rough, pls look their comment below)
A small and cozy local ristorante in Pienza city. I believe La Chiocciola is run as family business. Good hospitality from the family. …
Outstanding place!
The stinchi di maiale (pork shin) was absolutely incredible! Probably one of the best pork dishes I've ever had.
Other dishes on our table, chinghiale al rosso di Montalcino (wild boar with red wine of Montalcino) was almost as good as mine pork shin. Also the pici al pepe e pecorino was excellent. Certainly much better than the Roman cacio e pepe.
We had a lovely meal here! Typical Tuscan dishes like wild boar with pappardelle, Chianina beef with pici, I could go on and on. The only thing missing was a view or the Val d’Orcia!
